SOUTHWELL CITY RESERVES 6 - 2 KEYWORTH UNITED FC
Southwell City Reserves kicked off their 1st ever campaign in Premier Division of the NSL with a 6-2 victoty over a Keyworth United team that were reduced to nine players as they saw 2 red cards and at times played with 8 players due to a couple of sin bins.
just before kick off, Keyworth keeper Glenn Guyatt donated £20 and Jeff from Southwell City Reserves kindly donated £5 towards the Charity Blog in aid of Butterfly.
The game kicked off and th visitors took a early lead on just 2 minutes when THOMAS SISWICK netted after a good move.
The Zebras were soon back on level terms after 9 minutes when FRASER BRICKNELL converted a penalty after a handball situation.
Keyworth then had the first of their players sent off on 12 minutes, in the 28th minute, they saw rd when they wee reduced to 9 players. Southwell pressed forward but it didnt look like their 2 man advantage was going to count as we were heading towards half time, but a minute in to injury time, the homesters made the breakthrough when HENRY EASTGATE skipped the ball over the forward coming keeper to make to 2-1. With 4 minutes of added time, a neat move by Southwell saw them increase their lead through SAM ROBINSON.
36 seconds in to the second half and it was 4-1 when HENRY EASTGATE scooped the ball in to the far corner of the net.
After 54 minutes, HENRY EASTGATE sscored his hat trick, then on the hour KEYSHAWNN BONSU made it 6-1 with his first touch of the ball.
In the 80th minute, the home keeper made 4 saves in one keyworth attack, but they didnt give up and THOMAS SISWICK pulled a goal back in the 85th minute.
